Resonance and Vibrations
At the core of sound healing lies the concept of resonance. Every object, including the human body, has its natural vibrational frequencies. When exposed to coherent, soothing external sound frequencies during a sound healing session, our body tends to synchronize with those frequencies, leading to a harmonious state of resonance. This process can help realign imbalances within the body and restore a sense of equilibrium.
Resonance and vibration are already used in mainstream medicine in a variety of interesting ways, such as the treatment of kidney stones. Lithotripsy harnesses very powerful, targeted, ultrasonic frequencies to fragment kidney stones, enabling them to be passed out of the body.
The vibrations you experience during a sound healing session are, of course, very gentle. The sound waves penetrate into the body, but can be felt as a gentle internal massage, soothing away pain and inflammation.
